Despite the fact that the internet brought convenience to every company, the use of the phone to keep the lines between customers open still remained. Most of the businesses remained it. It is one of the easiest way to communicate. Having a phone system in your establishment can greatly increase the communication and productivity. It is far better than having many phones in individual lines. This is different from the one we always use.

Each may differ from one another when it comes to the type, its size and features as well as the provider. But they also do have common characteristics. That characteristics will give you a better understanding the one you currently have. Identify the kinds of office phone systems before you understand how it works.

Private branch exchange and multiline are the two basic types. The two are the same but they have a different complexity degree. Standard multiline is the simplest. It gives eight to ten single lines from one phone, in maximum. Extensions in the office will display lines 1, 2, 3 and so on.

PBX system is another word for private branch exchange. It is an automatic system that bigger companies use. Private branch exchange will give you an option if additional automation and lines causing a central receptionist unimportant.

There are many different approaches a multiline can do, depending on the possibilities. Each line does have various numbers for basic systems. It will ring and a light will blink when it will receive a call. But when it is busy and someone is on the line, it will give you a voicemail. It has an amazing feature that will transfer calls, voicemail and a speaker that allows the receptionist to alert the employees.

PBX and multiline systems are closely doing the same jobs. They differ in just one factor, that this PBX system does not need any human assistance. Any incoming call will pass through this electronic buffer that will go directly to the central receiving area. Depending on how many times it is dialed by the caller.

If you will dial the central number they will allow you to listen to an automated list of extension numbers and allow you to choose which number you want to be connected. But you can skip that, if you want to immediately connect to an extension by directly dialing the extension number.

PBX systems can also provide and allow you to internally connect. Without using any outside line, your employees can use the phone to dial the other office extensions. It can possibly be done pressing or dialing the last three digits of the number. Most PBX systems, you need to take in an additional number before you place the call. And you will be able to place an outgoing call and enter a line outside.

A size of a business or company will not matter. Big or small, it should establish a good communication, for it is an important element for a successful one. It will make you keep track of important meetings and possible clients. It will also make you manage everything easily. Indeed, communication is an important element in the business and in the world.
